On August 18, 2014, Mr. Korehito Masuda, a councillor at the Embassy of Japan in Mali (Ambassade du Japon au Mali), gave us a lecture entitled “What We Have to Have in Our Mind for Carrier Formation from a Global Point of View ”.

　In our global society, we need to understand our own culture and express it outside of Japan. Besides, it is indispensable to have crisis-management capability. It is also important to listen to opposing or minority opinions and to understand different cultures.

　For that purpose, he said, “I would like you to enjoy your own culture, nature and arts to polish up your sensitivity. Please make efforts to be Japanese by studying about Japan and your hometown, geography, history, and culture.” He continued, “I would like you to be Aomori-wise people who play active roles in the world.”
