SGH Lecture ③&④

On July 2 and 9, 2014, Associate Professor Ms. Shari Berman and Lecturer Ms. Roxana Sandu, from Hirosaki University International Education Center, gave us lectures entitled “Youth Marketing”.

Ms. Roxana Sandu is from Romania. She became interested in English and other cultures different from her own, and she studied English very hard. She said, “I’m a language learner just like you. The more mistakes you make, the more you learn.” Students were very encouraged by her words.

Youth marketing is targeting young people from 13 years old to early 30s, but it is said that the market between those aged 13 and 19 is the most important. This generation has a big effect on the other generations. The things they are interested in are considered to be “cool”, people imitate them, and as a result, those things will prevail and become popular.

Associate Professor Ms. Shari Berman talked during the latter half. The commodities and brands loved by teenagers will continue to be popular in a few decades, and they will be good business in the future. Companies all over the world are targeting young people.

Japanese young people are quite fashion-conscious, but we realized that young people in America and Europe also try to be cool and fashionable. Young generations in the world are the best for the market.

During Q&A time, students were appointed and asking questions using a microphone so that we could research our students’ trends.
