On July 7, 2015, Ms. Masako Saito, Vice President of Aomori International Relations Volunteer Association (AIVA) gave us a lecture entitled “Interpreters on sightseeing in Aomori”.

　Ms. Saito showed us a DVD of Aomori Nebuta festival and Aomori apples. After that, the students practiced how to answer when they are asked the way to the sightseeing spots in Aomori. They will interpret for the foreign tourists of the luxurious liner Diamond Princess next week.

　Some students couldn’t answer right away when asked the way to a place and stopped talking during the conversation. However, communication skills will be developed through a lot of practice and experience. Hang in there!
